Riots in Paris, France

From Place de Nation in Paris.

The streets were filled, more than 3 hundred thousand youth and union people demonstrated against the new law, Contrat Première Embauche, that enables companies employing youth to fire them without regards for the usual worker's rights.
166 was arrested, 7 police and a number of demonstrators was hurt in the clash.
Mostly the demonstrators was peaceful, but small groups challenged the police and set fire to cars and smashed shop windows.

During the weekend the numbers of demonstrators has been calculated to be as high as 1,5 million all over France.

1. If this would happen in the US, you would not hear a word about it
on the corporate media.

2. Disagree
If New York City had 300,000 protesters in the street, Fox News will find a way to exploit it.

3. Vive la France!! These people know what to do when yanked around by govt.
The middle class is basically rioting becaust the government wants to introduce "at will employment" that would allow workers to be fired without any particular reason. GOOD FOR THEM.

What do we do here? Roll over and take it in the ass.

VIVE LA FRANCE!

4. Where's OUR passion?
In our 8 typing fingers? I wish people would take to the streets a little more often and a little more passionately in this country. About once a week might do it.

5. My french is a little rusty, but
I believe that sign in the center of the crowd: "CPE dans ton CUL" literally translates to 'CPE in your ASSHOLE.' Come on mes amis, tell us what you really think!
