A plan to stop the war in Iraq.

My letter to the editor

Three years after we invaded Iraq we have spent over $300 billion, over 2300 of our soldiers have been killed, and our reputation in the world has been seriously damaged. It is clear the Republican controlled White House and Congress is absolutely incompetent when it comes to every aspect of the war including ending it.

Since they have no plan, here is one for them to consider:
Fire Rumsfeld. He has screwed up everything he has touched. He does not deserve a medal, honors or anything except an investigation into his conduct.

Begin an investigation to identify who provided false information on the weapons of mass destruction to Congress which led us to war. If they are found guilty, they should be shot for treason.

Start a war tax on every single family in America. Let everyone, not just our soldiers families, pay for this $300Billion war. Continue this till the war is over.

Start the draft to replenish our troops. Our troops do not deserve 3 tours of duty. Every family in America should participate in a draft. No deferments for any reason. Those in college can put it on hold. Those with young families can join the soldiers in Iraq who also have families at home.

When Americans begin to hold our elected officials accountable and when every family suffers like our soldiers families are, then and only then will they rise up and demand an end to the war in Iraq. And that is how you stop this war.

Never happen tho - can you imagine the twins going to war? How about Neil's mouthy college aged son?

Nope.

Rich will always buy their way out.
