What does Vernon Robinson mean by "go native"?

Vernon Robinson is running for the US House in North Carolina’s 13th District. He was also featured in this week's Top Ten Conservative Idiots. But take a look at this quote from his campaign website:

Can someone explain this jargon to me?

All I know is he occasionally makes the news for saying stupid and controversial things.
