Vault Soda Commercial
Hmm

Saw a commercial for a new soda pop Vault.
I bought a bottle of the diet version of it before I saw the commercial.
I never saw it before.
It was similar to Mountain Dew.More citrusy A TOTAL Mountain Dew Knockoff..Apparently vault has a microscopic amount of orange juice in it. Anyways.

The commercial had a scarecrow or farmer pissed off at the "invaders" in his cornfield. So he built a terminator type robot that went on a killing rampage terrorizing all the creatures in the fields..The robot chased and eliminated(killed) crows, birds, foxes(no blood and guts just a laser zap and they poofed away) last creature robot was going to terminate..was..HIPPIES..

Then the commercial showed a gathering of what looked like "liberals"or"New Agers" or "young alternative types" sitting together and the robot went after them to kill them presumably ,Last part was the"hippies" jumping up in wide eyed fear scattering with the robot in rage pursuing, the commercial ended right before the robot killed the people.

I wish I didn't try Vault before I saw the fucking commercials the company(coca cola is the manufacturer) put out..
FUCK COKE What Happened to I'd like to Teach the world to sing???
just 15 years ago Coke wanted to look "liberal"..And the stupid re pukes ignorant of the hypocritical salesmanship of corporate marketing.. are eating it up.

And I am NEVER buying Vault again. I feel Like I drank Rat Poison.
This is how fucking VILE Vault is..

View the sick ass commercial here:

Boycott COKE.There are more of us Liberals than there are hypocritical hippie hating assholes.

1. Just another example
of the asshole-ification of America. Everybody has to have this in your face, big shot fucking attitude these days.

4. It's the beginning of scapegoating.. as in FASCIST

A more useful definition of demagoguery arises from the interdisciplinary application of rhetorical studies, which here takes on the form of logical-fallacy analysis, which itself reduces to two inseparably linked constituents: simplicity of message content and its wholly unilateral point-of-view presentation. For greater ease of expression we shall hereafter refer to these constituents as “one-sided simplicity,” or alternatively, simply as unidimensionality....

....Indigenous to the demagogue’s extensive use of unidimensionality has been the common practice of scapegoating: the hostile targeting of select groups for condemnation and blame. Important to note is that these groups may be identified by ethnicity, race, or religion, of course, but just as easily by political ideology. Akin to the notional convenience of scapegoats is the historiographical concept of the “Other”: those Americans, as Southern historian Sheldon Hackney described them, standing “in opposition to a presumed American norm.” As such, they are easy targets. It is they who are responsible for the problems of crime or unemployment, for instance; or they may be responsible for cultural upheavals that seemingly threaten traditional values, or even for America’s sagging international standing, if that is the case. The “Other” must be to blame for these conditions, for “we”—the true Americans--continue to uphold all that is good and socially manageable.

2. This is very disturbing.
I wonder who had the advertising contract for that piece of dreck. The company needs to apologize for that type of advertising.

12. I saw it on TV
On TV they cut out the very end, shown in the clip I linked to
of the people being chased and shot at.
ON TV they also they cut the dart going into the photo of the deer and the charred(bird?) body falling from the fire breath apparatus on the robot.

These fucking rich, bully pieces of shit and their frightened enabling asshole sycophants want to destroy liberals because we are not like them.We do not want to partake of their poisonous collective addiction to their own warped fascist fantasies of world domination and culture..as in scapegoat lib'ruls, worship war god in the sky,,kill..kill..Kill...stomp,yell, dominate the discussion, scapegoat control the world! HUGE ego, bully the inferiors, hate the enemies your role models tell you to hate, obey your superiors,Don't ask questions, bully anyone you don't like, pretend, sneer, pose, whine ,fight, steal, smear the queer, punch a geek, burn a pagan at a stake, rally round the hanging noose,be two faced ,lie, lie some more, steal more, bully, whine, yell, show ass....Push the boundaries of inhumanity to humanity until you are turned upon by the humans you scapegoated and you exploited ,Be dragged through the street and die like all little dictators because all bullies desire to be destroyed deep down. I hate bullies enough to oblige them in their self destructive desire for ruin if they go too far pushing my boundaries..I think most people have a limit too how much shit they will tolerate out of people.

6. Well, that was certainly repulsive.
Thanks for sharing, I guess.

Not only is this commercial vile, it's stupid. A small number of no-opposable-thumb types'll get a real yuck out of it, and most everybody else will be appalled. It's slightly funny up to the point where they vaporize the crow, and then it just skitters into psychopath-land.

And hippies? 'Scuse me, but what is it, 1967? When was the last time YOU saw a bunch of hippies camping out in the south 40?

They've just blown a bunch of money on a commercial that'll make people puke. Somehow, I don't think that's what you want associated with a new product launch.

Sometimes you need to fire the ad agency MUCH earlier in the process, before you end up in public with shit smeared on your face.

7. Freedom to be a lout is part of the appeal of the movement that calls
itself CON-servative.

Unless I'm looking for a drink mixer, I try to avoid pop.

It's not good for you.

It probably does contain a trace amount of rat poison.

Since they're going for the anti-natural crowd, this approach might work well for them.

The youths can rebel by drinking unhealthy stuff.

8. Anyone who drinks a coca cola product after watching that ad ...
deserves all the unhealthy chemicals it contains.

Come to think of it, this way the Repugs keep being poisoned, and the Liberals get to drink something healthy instead. A good beer is far better for you. :toast:

10. The publicity is

by some outfit called Publicis New York. If you check out the product on Google, it looks like there is some issue with a lot of competition from other similar sodas. It also appears that they are heavy into a "guy" marketing approach. Debut for this was Superbowl Sunday.
This is the company blurb:

11. Thanks for the heads up on this one.
I read what you wrote to my husband (I do not drink pop). He was angry, went to the fridge, grabbed a COKE and sat down to write to them. He gets it......I think.

13. Doesn't energy drink mean calories?
Energy is measured in calories. I guess it also means enough caffeine to get you frazzled enough to burn those calories. Why not call it an anxiety drink? Doesn't sound healthy to me.
