Dear Soldier

Dear soldier, last night I was outside and felt peace in a few minutes of looking up at the stars while I took a break from reality. I thought of you. Do you look up at the sky at night when there is a quiet moment and find peace there? Do you try to forget the tragedies you saw that day? Do you try to remember the peace that made you feel safe when you were back home? Does it help at all? Tonight, soldier, when you look up at the stars know that I'll be looking at them later on and thinking of you. Know that you and my children are the reason I'm working to change Washington so I know you all will be taken care of in the future. You deserve 100% because you give 100%. When you look at those stars tonight, remember that we love you and we're thinking of you.
