Whiny Children Become Whiny Right Wingers (Scientific Study)

A study reported in the Toronto Star reveals how to identify conservatives versus liberals in nursery school:

Remember the whiny, insecure kid in nursery school, the one who always thought everyone was out to get him, and was always running to the teacher with complaints? Chances are he grew up to be a conservative.

At least, he did if he was one of 95 kids from the Berkeley area that social scientists have been tracking for the last 20 years. The confident, resilient, self-reliant kids mostly grew up to be liberals.

Now that conservatives can be identified at an early age, perhaps a treatment can be developed.

Next thing they'll discover is that the right wing arises from playground bullies and cowards who end up compensating for their their lack of cojones by waging premeptive war on defenseless nations.

2. That's how science works

Studies are performed to provide evidence of what researchers suspect to provide proof. (Sometimes surprising results even arise).

Then there is the old "publish or perish" motivation.
