Tal Afar - The best he can come up with?
Sept 2005

"Insurgents staged a classic guerrilla retreat from Tal Afar on Sunday, melting into the countryside through a network of tunnels to escape an Iraqi-US ..." MSNBC

The existance of insurgents there was always questionable. They flattened the entire place with bombs.

1. Hey, it makes for good TV.
Anytime the networks can show shit being blown up it's a hit. That's the entire reason for this "exercise", to get some air-time for the "war president" and try to convince people that bush is actually doing something to right the situation in Iraq.

This is bush's "plan" for victory? :eyes:

3. Somebody over three decades ago already said it:
"We had to destroy the city to save it." It was spoken during the Viet Nam War.

4. Apparently US tax dollars are paying for new sewers, and all the
other good shit for the Kurds and Turkmen who have lived there all along. They had better not give New Orleans any ideas.
