Transcript:

REPORTER: Will there come a day, and I’m not asking you when — I’m not asking for a timetable — will there come a day when there will be no more American forces in Iraq?

BUSH: That, of course, is an objective, and that will be decided by future presidents and future governments of Iraq.

5. He must be trying to scuttle the next Republican nominee.
He wants to ride this failure into utter catastrophe, and take the rest of his party with him.

7. Iraq
If Americans want the troops home they need to vote straight Democrat. Even Hilary would bring troops home sooner than any Republican.

8. I've got a feeling that with The Patriot Act, * will be in office past 09
He's "their boy", and with The PA II and another LIHOP/MIHOP, junior will be in the WH indefinately.
The neocons/PNAC have achieved part of their agenda. A change of exec's is out of the question to them, IMHO.

10. Don't Spend Too Much Mental Energy On That Feeling
The people are already disapproving in near record numbers. That won't happen.

11. Since when does the opinion of "the people" matter anymore.
See elections 2000 and 2004.

14. My thoughts too - for months now.
Not just the Patriot Act, but the way Congress and the SCOTUS have been turning a blind eye to Executive Privilege and allowing bush to consolidate power in his office.

Why wouldn't he say that the country shouldn't find a new president in a time of war? As long as he's that president, it'll be fine with him.

13. The Bush Regime is the Neo Evil Empire.
US Troops and Mercs will remain in Iraq until
2009 and most likely many years afterward unless the Shi'ites and the Kurds decide otherwise. Rethugs and Dems will never stop funding the $Billions for this Occupation. Even if 99.99% of American were against this Occupation it would continue. The will of the people of America is not relavent.

It isn't likely as long as the Bush Regime is helping the Shi'ites and Kurds kill Sunnis.

"The terrorists want to control the oil. Our way of life will be at risk". George W. Bush (Nov. 2005)

Bush Regime Iraq Successes (Phase 1)

1. Saddam will no longer sell Iraqi oil via the Euro.

2, A military foothold in the ME. Other than Saudi Arabia.

3, No countries will be able to buy Iraqi oil that the U.S. disapproves of.

4. Slowing production of Iraqi oil garners more profits to US Oil Corps.

5.The Military Industrial Complex is a booming Industry.

Phase 2?

“Iraq: Permanent US Colony”

Iraq: Permanent US Colony
By Dahr Jamail

Tuesday 14 March 2006

"Why does the Bush Administration refuse to discuss withdrawing occupation forces from Iraq? Why is Halliburton, who landed the no-bid contracts to construct and maintain US military bases in Iraq, posting higher profits than ever before in its 86-year history?
Why do these bases in Iraq resemble self-contained cities as much as military outposts?"
