I think it is now ‘do or die’ for our Democracy.

I just reread our Constitution. Nowhere does it say that the Executive branch of our government can spy on its citizens or hold citizens without cause or enter your house and conduct searches without warrants. If there were, either a section would explicitly state that the President can circumvent the Constitution or an Amendment would grant this power.

On the contrary, our Bill of Rights specifically protects its citizens from these crimes. And the Constitution, as explicitly stated therein, is the “law of the land’.

Even in the time of War, which technically, ethically and morally, we are not in, the President has no right to ignore or violate the Constitution. Our Founders would have known to include exclusions – on the contrary they did not. And, no one can infer more rights that explicitly violate the Constitution.

So, the ‘do or die’ part – either this is shut down immediately (illegal spying) and this administration is impeached, or our Democracy is officially dead. Once an impeachable crime is committed, the penalty must be swift and final. Otherwise, forevermore, all aspects of our Constitution are subject to being tested by our elected officials. And if the test succeeds, our Constitution is dead as is our Democracy.

We, as the American Citizenship, are subject to the first overthrow of our government. We have to stop it. We are a law abiding citizenship and our ability to legally remove the corruption is being thwarted. If we cannot successfully elect our leaders (preventing election fraud), there is no other legal means to regain our Democracy.

In case you do not know this – they are shooting the moon. They are going for every aspect of our lives, our existence, and our Country. They are a hugely powerful force, I hate to admit… they have all three branches of our government and the media. And our side of government, the Democrats, seems to be complicit.

Please, somebody, tell me what the hell we are doing to stop this. Where are the millions of people saying ‘get the fuck out of my country you traitors”.

8. Not only that, but an enemy that half of our nation refuses to
acknowledge.

"Everything is fine...why do y'all hate George Bush so much? He is a fine, christian man. As long as he keeps our country safe, he can do whatever he wants."

2. I agree and
I might add, I think our constitution and official checks and balances have been over and they need to be reinstated. That is the real fight. We have been sacked and at some point we have to retake our government so as to avoid a permanency of unlawful rule.

3. Yes, I think our Constitution needs a few more Amendments.
Even stronger, and a Bill of Rights for our Environment which includes our environment, education, and health. When you have education and a clean and safe environment, everything else will fall into place.

4. There must be a way...
whether it be states holding some kind of elections to over-rule the feds...or federal prosecutors in various states levelling some kind of charges....there's got to be some way out of the norm to halt this cancer.

5. I have thought of that too... The States do have rights and powers.
And it very well be States Rights that kill this corrupt federal government.

6. Yes, the sense of urgency is greater every day. Every day I have to
wake up from this appallingly naive dream of America I was born and bred with and go, ohmygod ohmygod ohmygod. (and then, ohmygod THANK YOU DU for being here, I know I'm not the only one...)

7. I carry the Constitution in my purse
I read it whenever I have to wait . I'm not sure how
many times I have read it so far .

Keep reading it . Give a copy of it to everyone
you care about with a note saying, "keep this safe."

10. I just did a search...
I entered 'pocket constitution' and 26000 hits came up. The first entry (the one below) had them for $1.

Note: I know nothing about these sites - shop safely!
