I just read the thread that linked to the Free Republic about Christiane Amanpour. Jeez LOUISE! Some of the things those freaks said! Do we say stuff like that? I mean, you will see people here saying how sick they are of this administration and how much we dislike certain Republicans and we will also talk about how frustrated we are with the MSM...but I swear I don't think I have ever heard anybody here say some of the sick shit those whackos say in post after post. With barely a coherent thought in the whole thread. They are truly ignorant nutjobs.

is the way they completely dismiss any objections we have to any Republican policy by calling us "partisan" or "unpatriotic" or "disloyal" so as to dismiss it, and not even deal with the legitimate issues we raise.

Take a look at the current scandals in Congress. Just for example, Tom DeLay. They say that Ronnie Earle is after Tom for purely partisan motives, and that there is nothing to this. Yet, of 15 politicians Earle has gone after in his career as Travis county DA, 12 have been Democrats, and only 3 Republican. Yeah, that sounds real "partisan" to me, doesn't it to you?

Or they claim we are solely motivated by hatred for, and a desire to do harm to, Bush and his Administration. while there is no shortage of hatred for Bush or his Administration on our side of the aisle, they fail to examine WHY such hatred for Bush exists...or why the desire to "do harm to his Administration" is so high over here. Maybe, it's because Bush so obviously desires to do harm to the lower and middle economic classes. But they never stop to examine this.

They merely wish to dismiss our legitimate concerns and issues, without examining them.

If it were a Democratic President, and a Democratic Congress caught up in what is going on right now...holy Toledo, Batman...would they be hollering or what?? I mean, look at Clinton, and the way they hounded him mercilessly for six years...and after all that time the best they could come up with is him lying under oath about getting a BJ, for God's sake!!

Here, we have a President and a Vice-President blatantly flouting the law and the constitution, who cavalierly admit that they lied us into a war, and state that they would do it all over again...and we STILL can't get them impeached!!

I mean, what the heck does it take to finally get this criminal gang out of our government??

I a not kidding. I have gone over there a couple of times, but it just freaks me out. For every one post that is remotely thoughtful, there are twenty that are just spewing vicious garbage. It is truly disturbing that there is a place where people feel comfortable writing things like that to each other.

I can count on one hand the number of times I've seen a DUer express a truly violent sentiment toward our opponents. Mostly it's something along the lines of "Why don't you enlist?". But nothing truly wishing them physical harm. The few times I've ventured over there I've been appalled at and frightened by the hatred, racism, and vitriol toward liberals. There IS a substantial difference between us and them. I don't care what anyone says. They scare the crap out of me. :scared:

But for every 1 you'd find here, there will be 100 over there. It truly is currently the largest congregational gathering of truly sick ignorant nutjob that you will find anywhere on the web. The ratio there is astounding.

I mean, even freerepublic has its quick flashes of brilliant clarity, but it is most often only because a DU'er had chosen to quickly infiltrate them :)

Oh man, I don't know where to start.

The #1 most annoying thing there is the lack of spelling/grammar skills exhibited by the members there. It's probably worse than the average inner-city middle school.

The second most annoying thing there is that board's format. Wanna see what internet message boards were like pre-1995 when we surfed the internet with Intel 486 processors, Windows 3.1, Mosaic 1.0 (only browser around), and 28.8K dial-up connections? Just go over there and check it out, you'll laugh...or cry. RimJob (their site admin) requests about $70K each quarter from the members there to keep that POS site running. You'd think with that kind of funding that they'd be able to run a 21st-century style message board.

Someone should look into how he lives. How big his house is, what kind of car he drives, that sort of thing. Seriously, $280,000 a year, and he comes up with that shit? He's got to be pocketing a substantial chucnk of those donations.

I'm sure he doesn't have a "real" job & just lives fat off those donations. $280,000 could keep that damn place running for a decade assuming you just need the $ for domain/hosting costs, software, and server upgrades.
