Gonzales Points Finger in War on Drugs:

The suspects are accused of flooding U.S. streets with cocaine to fund their guerrilla warfare in Colombia. The indictments against dozens of suspects also detail vicious tactics they allegedly used to keep coca farmers in line -- including dismembering them while they were still alive. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales is seeking to extradite some of the suspects.

They must have crossed the line with someone in the shadow government which in turn could have disastrous consequences for those on the take in Washington...

The War on Drugs always intrigued me. Is it really that obvious?

2. We won the War on Drugs, didn't we?
Or is it one of those things that some future president will eventually declare victory over?

All I know is that the War on Drugs really pisses off my dealer.

Get with it, Gonzo!

What a prick the Torture Czar is. They had to find someone more hard-core than Ashcroft, because as bad as he was, he wouldn't sign off on torture.

6. Are they waving shiny objects now?
Where did all the indictments come from, first child pornography ring, now this? Is this their attempt to show how effective Bush is domestically. I hate to be cynical but do they sit on these until they need good press. When's the last time you heard of a large crime ring being busted up by the Feds?

8. If people didn't WANT it, they would not ship it, sell it here

There has ALWAYS been a segment of society who used(s) drugs, and it's probably a stable number (taking into account the growth of the nation)..

The Brazillions of dollars wasted on the "war" should have gone for real drug treatment for the ones who want off...and for health care for the ones who don't.

and perhaps for affordable college for any kid who wants to go...or to create jobs so kids would have something to do besides .."hang out"..

all our ills are related....treat one correctly, and a lot of the others fall into place too...

Kids with good self-esteem, stable lives and a bright future are less likely to get into drugs..
