so we don't have to.. They are like a mommy bird too.. They "chew it up, partially digest it for us, and then shove it down our throats"..

Wolfie just said " We're watching the cruise ship tragedy for YOU"..

First of all it's a VEHICULAR ACCIDENT (a bus to be exact)...on LAND ...in CHILE...on a shore excursion..

auto accidents happen every second of every day, somewhere on earth.. Why would rich tourists on vacation be immune, Wolfie.. It's a sad story, and of utmost interest the the families of those passengers, but it's just not CNN-worthy, considering the state of the world and the stuff that goes unreported.

2. I was just thinking the same thing
I'm in the kitchen so I'm not actually watching CNN. I just heard him say something to the effect of "cruise ship crash...many dead...worst nightmare...

I couldn't understand what the cruise ship would crash into in the ocean.

4. Iceberrrrrrrrrrrg...?? maybe they want people to think that and
then when they got you.. they tell you about the lousy local bus driver that was probably the low bidder for the cruise ship company (for shore excursions)..

When we took a shore excursion in Haiti, we ended up getting out of the "car" and walked.. The guy was driving on the sidewalk !!!..and almost hit a couple of kids..

we ended up walking back to the dock area and taking a local guy up on his offer to show us around.. Marcel was a very nice guy and took us to a great restaurant..

This was back when Haiti was sort of coming back to life..

5. Good Point, "So Cal."
I wonder if folks will get how "deep" your observation goes.

But...I for one, am sick of the "death bed sickly looking Wolfie" doing:

"Coming up NOWWWWWWWWWWWWW!" like he's talking to some folks who are immigrants in the early 20th Century....

A Carney BARKER...Circus Barker...a SHILL ... a STOOGE...

Just because he and Cheney looked good to us "oldies" back during the Gulf WarI and that Kuwait thingy...does that mean they have our "LOYALTY FOREVER?"

I think NOT....:-( TIME FOR THEM BOTH TO GO!!!! GO!!!!! GO!!!!!

6. CNN was still "real news" during GW1... It's embarrassing to even
watch these days..

I don;t WANT to know if Kyra's stomach is growling...or what "SEEEEEEN" the Ken-Doll weather-guy had for lunch.. I liked having anonymous, generic broadcasters just telling me what happened..and letting me decide what to do with that knowledge..

CNN basically committed suicide... You used to be able to tune in any time of day and find out what was going on at that moment... They "updated" their format to consist of "shows" with "newsbreaks".. worthless..

There have been several occasions when something big happened at night, and out of habit, I still tune to CNN, but usually just get some "show" being re-run..
