1. Didn't he do a fine job of tearing the heinous Dr. Laura a new sphincter?
I TiVo'd the show so I could watch that part again. A most excellent rant by KO.

3. Can I ask...what did KO say about Dr. Laura...
I agree with her children's adovacy stuff.

However, I disagree with most of what she says.

I'd be interested in hearing what KO said about her.

Thanks for any info... :)

8. It started when she went on the Today show
Edited on Thu Mar-23-06 12:40 AM by ocelot
and said basically that the media were misrepresenting what was going on in Iraq because the TV reporters weren't "man enough" to leave their hotels and that they don't bother to talk to Iraqis or to soldiers.

This stinking pile of crap she spewed caused KO to rant about these remarks being "unforgivable" and "stupid" in light of the deaths and injuries of many reporters in Iraq. He really went off on her.

11. I have really had enough of this crap...ALL OF THEM are saying it!!
Edited on Thu Mar-23-06 12:50 AM by TwoSparkles
I am so sick of this!!!

Do these right-wing propagandist do EXACTLY as they are told...EVERY TIME??? When Rove says, "Jump!" do they all respond, "In which pile of shit would you like us to land?"

CRIKEY!!

All of them are spewing the same bullshit---that the media is the problem...the media is reporting only bad news from Iraq...the reporters never go out of their hotels and report the real news...

I have heard this repeatedly from ALL OF THEM. Limbaugh. Hannity. Ingram. They are ALL OVER every talk show, news show, Sunday show, cable show, outhouse, hen house--vomiting the EXACT SAME words.

For the love of Pete----this is downright terrifying!!! Obviously, the White House issued a fax or had a conference call with these jackals and told them, "Ok. Junior needs your help. He's down in the polls and we need to make the American public believe that Iraq is wonderful...and that the media is bad for reporting the truth. Please...people! We need you to attack the media for reporting only bad stuff. Say it loud...say it proud....on your own shows and on national media outlets too."

How can they follow these insane marching orders!!!!! Are they that stupid!?

12. No doubt they all got their talking points from KKKarl Rove today
since all of a sudden, all together, they are going off on the media.

But it's deja vu all over again. Same thing happened during the Vietnam war, when the media really were reporting what was going on, and it really was bad, so Johnson, and Nixon after him (even moreso) claimed the reporters were helping the Commies by talking about all that death and destruction.

15. Oh yeah, like all the bad stuff happens in the "Green Zone"
If they left their hotels, they would find things much worse. In facts, scores of journalists who have gone out to get past the Pentagon's sugur coated war reports have died.

as far as I know, Laura Ingraham isn't a PhD (although she DID sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night). ;)

that would likely help Uncle Georgie's approval numbers.:patriot:

20. I gotta comment on this.
Okay, leaving aside for a moment the fact that her "hotel balcony" crack is just disgustingly ignorant and morally repugnant, there's a line of reasoning here which the right wingers have settled on which I'd really love to see someone address.

Notice how her defense of the war is no longer that it makes America safe. Now she and the rest of the right wing have a new two-prong strategy:

1. "The troops will tell you they want to stay in Iraq and finish the mission!"

and

2. "Think of the children!"

I have no doubt many troops do feel that way. They've become emotionally attached to the place, to the people, to the job. But the truth is that because most of our troops are good people, they would feel this way about any mission we sent them on. But their emotional attachment isn't a strategy for winning, which is what we need, and don't have. And ultimately, it doesn't matter what the troops want. They serve the citizenry, we don't serve them. An argument that military wants to go to war is an argument with no moral force in a democracy.

But the kids! The kids!! If Laura is so concerned about the children, we could help several hundred times as as many children if we devoted half that money to humanitarian intervention in other ways, like malaria prevention, for instance. Why is one Iraqi worth the lives of 9 African children? Even at home, we don't cover our own children's health care. Why don't kids at home matter to her?

21. For some insane reason, the far right wing like her
could care less about the children here. It's the parent's duty not the government, is her cry. Only in other countries does she show any "compassion". She's one phony bitch. She owes Olbermann one heck of an apology.

Her website is www.lauraingraham.com and you can email her.

If anyone is fit to borrow Murrow's signoff, it's KO.
