For second time this month, GOP trying to break legislative rules...
'Democratic Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid has threatened to filibuster Frist's bill if he does not have it first go through the Judiciary Committee. "If Leader Frist brings a bill to the floor that does not have the approval of the Judiciary Committee, it will not get out of the Senate," Reid said in defiance of the GOP leader.

Basically, all that is happening here is Bill Frist wants the immigration overhaul on his record before his final term is up at the end of this year so he can run for president in 2008 with the support of all the border states. Also, the other reason why Frist won't support the Kenned-McCain bill is because it contains guaranteed guest worker permits. Frist's bill side-steps that issue because it is too politically sensitive in border states. In other words, as of this time Bill Frist is serving potential 2008 swing states and not his constituents. It would suck to live in Tennessee right now, knowing full well that your Senator is abandoning your state.'

1. And the GOP knows they're allowing the laws to be broken
Arlen Specter said:
"I think what is going on now without congressional intervention or judicial intervention is just plain wrong."

And apparently they're not going to do anything about it.

Break the laws, bend the rules, lie, cheat, steal, take bribes, all just another day's work for our conservative, Christian Republican leaders.

:puke:

3. Running a one-party mob rule state
If you're going to run a dictatorship, you have to break the laws from time to time. Just ask Mr. Pinochet or Mr. Hussein. You just missed your chance to ask Mr. Milosevic, but perhaps Mr. Mladic will surface soon and you can ask him.
