If they did, people would be pouring into the streets demanding we end the carnage.

Thank you for posting.

I just ordered the book and will have it on the coffee for all to see. Hopefully the images will move some brave enough to open it.

30. Innocent people suffering are an abomination to God and all that is good.
The knowledge that my government -- since Gulf War I -- has been making the children of Iraq suffer has been almost unbearable.

This shows why we must all be concerned. What the War Party is doing to Iraq today, they will do to America tomorrow.

Thank you, Binka, for sharing these images and giving us this warning.

32. I Am A Vessel Of Grief My Heart Bursts Daily
The one saving grace is it makes me that much MORE compassionate to everyone I come in contact with. The only way I have to assuage my pain is to give. My partner kids me that one day I am going to come through the front door naked because I will have given all my clothing to people on the streets.

Thank you for your nice PM btw you were right about my Dad. He's not all that bad. I was having a rough afternoon. Plus my days at Atsugi were the best days of my life.

These photographers were on C-Span not too long ago.

The ones from the mental hospital really got to me. Mental illness and psychological problems are such a huge cost of war.

37. Unbelievable...

Can you imagine what we would feel in this country if we had to deal with what the Iraqi's are dealing with? Anger, sadness, loss, despair...
Yet they manage to have some semblance of normalcy.

Their country is beautiful, the history major in me realizes that we are destroying the cradle of civilization.
The heat would kill me, but I would love to visit. I don't see that happening in my lifetime.

So sad...

38. This is absolutely incredible
There are some very disturbing photos in there. Disturbing yet necessary.
All of my life I have tried to live by the credo, "Love thy neighbor" and so on. But after seeing some of these images, it is very very hard to feel anything but hatred toward the bush bastards. Is it any wonder that soldiers are coming home mentally disturbed? Good god, anybody with any conscience has to be disturbed by some of the pictures, especially the ones by the the first guy. Sorry I can't remember his name. Too upset. And even weepy.

39. But don't you know? We're always showing the bad stuff and
ignoring the "good" news in Iraq. Amongst all that suffering and rubble, the insanity, the filth, the scope of human tragedy is unbelievable. The photos are powerful. There is something about seeing them online, the light -- that makes them so much more tangible than printed on paper.

41. That IS the good news..........
they spared us the really horrifying stuff. If people in this country could put themselves in the Iraqi's shoes for just one minute......but then again, Republicans have no empathy, that's what makes them Republicans. Could you imagine living in a war torn country such as that? A place where daily survival is looked upon as a victory.
Thanks, george bush. If not for you these people would be among us right now, killing us in our sleep. :sarcasm: How this monster can sleep at night is beyond me.....but then again, there's not a bit of empathy within his diseased mind. :grr:

43. You're right. We aren't seeing Iraqis picking up the body parts of
their loved ones, wrapping their children in a shroud to be buried, whole families wiped out. The disregard for them as human beings is simply astounding. "Collateral damage" -- where have we heard that before? The Iraqis (and we) will be scarred as a result of this quest for oil and power. And no doubt Iran and Syria are next.
