Re-writing history in the Kansas City Star
In the 'Voices' section (Call 816-234-4497 to leave 30-second commentaries on current events) of the KC Star on March 23, 2006, the following ignorant comment appeared:

"The media need to stick to reporting the news and not attacking our government. If we listened to those on the left during World War II, we would be speaking Japanese or German now instead of being a free country." - J. Parker, Kansas City

Who was running the government during WW II, and who exactly got their bank seized for trading with the enemy again?

*I tried to find a link to post, but was unable to locate one, so I quoted this directly from the newspaper.

1. They are dusting some old ones off there.
I think I heard that 20 years ago. Maybe it is the same moron as I used to live north of KC

2. Aren't the same people who try to claim that the left would have kept
us out of WWII the same kind of people who were screaming about keeping us out of WWII??? Marching in Madison Square Garden in support of Hitler in the 30s?

All the stuff I read about Hitler is that he appealed to the righties . . .

And they're the ones who have tried to say that FDR tried to stay out of the war . . . and yet they claim that FDR "let Pearl Harbor" happen . . .

:silly: My brain hurts . . .
