The DISCONNECT BushCo. is pushing in the media is ASTOUNDING!!
Edited on Thu Mar-23-06 05:17 PM by Vinnie From Indy
For example, on Tweety's show he has a soldier and his wife on discussing how much good is being done in Iraq. This is IMMEDIATLEY followed by a discussion about how dangerous it is for soldiers and reporters. The glaringly obvious question is, if there is so much "good" happening over there, why is everyone scared spitless of being killed at any given moment when they leave the green zone?

The BushCo psyop campaign is an awesome thing to behold. They have truly adopted "newspeak" lock, stock and barrel.

1. This era will be a specific time in history, studied
in universities just like the Civil War and Early American History.

5. and future generations studying this time period long after
we are gone will ask, "how did the American public let this happen?"

It was almost like Nazi Germany.

They will discuss and learn about people being frightened, stupid or all of the above. They will say the internet was in it's infancy and a small fraction of the country (and an even smaller part of the media) SLOWLY helped educate thier fellow Americans until bush was impeached in 2007.

2. They are really good at it. The military is more a danger to themselves
that the Iraqis are. To buy into this shit from a bunch of ultra-rich, chickenhawks blows my mind.

3. I wonder if Jill Carroll thinks we're doing "good things" in Iraq.
I wonder if the coworkers, friends and families of the more than 80 journalists who've been killed in Iraq think we're doing "good things" there.

It must be nice to sit in a heavily-guarded, exclusive compound and opine about how 'good' it's gotten for others. Sounds like Babbling Babs is writing the talking points.

4. I just didn't find them all that convincing
Yeah, I'm a DUer, so I'm less likely to accept their perceptions as reality. But given the fact that more journalists have died in Iraq than in the Vietnam conflict - those two can kiss my fat ass.
