I'm not sure what's going on here, but something's afoot in Stinkville:
I glance over there fairly regularly (FreakRepugnant, that is) to get my regular dose of eye-rolling, head-shaking exercise, and saw this:

It's either a joke or we'll be rid of them for a (very) good month.

2. I can't believe they call that a message board.
That is the most amateurish, hack-job of a web site I've ever seen. And why am I not surprised that not a single one of them appears to know what the fuck election laws say, whether or not the "shut-down" notice is true.

Surely you can find one judge to get an injunkion.

Or let's sue to have democratic underground shutdown are well.

6. An injunkion, eh?
Why, I'm sure any judge would be delighted to provide one.

8. This is a bill that was introduced in congress
that would shut down blogs for 60 days before an election.

It's unconstitutional as all getout, of course, and would be struck down faster than you can say "ACLU."

I think McCain was one of the jerks proposing this fetid piece of doomed legislation.

9. Some threads on this last night, but...
a court interpreted McCain-Feingold to say the the FEC should regulate political websites, so Rimjob is all in a tizzy about a forthcoming rule that might shut down "campaign" websites and blogs before an election.

Not that the FEC actually wants to do this, but it's doing its rulemaking anyway, and Rimjob is blaming McCain for the whole mess. There's some Congressional activity to straighten the mess out, but it's slow.

This could actually be hugh and series, but I don't see much activity other than Rimjob in meltdown over MCaian.
