O'Reilly dissected.....

In Sylvester Brown's St. Louis Post DIspatch column from Thursday of last week, Sylvester took O'Reilly to task. O'Reilly responded with a diatribe about fanatical lefties and attacked Sylvester. Here is Sylvester's response:

I remember a drunken, seemingly deranged bum in my old neighborhood who walked around with soiled pants, talking to himself and cursing anybody and everybody who crossed his path.

If my mother caught her kids laughing at the bum, she'd scold us, "Leave that man alone. Can't you see he's crazy?"

Fox's million-dollar blabbermouth, Bill O'Reilly, reminds me of that neighborhood lush. Perhaps we "liberals" ought to leave him alone, too. After all ... he's just crazy.

There's no better explanation for the man's behavior.

I thought his first blog post was really good also. I hope people notice the work he is doing, because some of it is exceptional.

Funny and scary at the same time. It's obvious that BOR is absolutely deranged and the article makes that point (albeit in the most diplomatic terms). BOR will probably take off on them, again.

...for people like O'Reilly. Every time we attack them, it's the same thing: "those fanatical lefties!" They never can come up with anything else. O'Reilly *is* like some crazy bum ranting to himself.

I love Sylvester's writing, pretty much the only thing I read in the Post other than the movie reviews. He tells it like it is and tells it how no one else can. The man cracks me up.

Several years ago, before I had XM and could listen to something other than this kind of crap I used to listen to his show now and then (when my blood pressure could take it). This paragraph from the latest blog entry says exactly what I thought when I would listen, "But, no. Like the soiled, cantankerous drunk who blames the bottle for his condition, O'Reilly invites ridicule when he denies, dodges and responds with paranoid proclamations that the "liberal" media and "smear web sites" are out to get him." If you listened often enough you could hear the contradictions over and over and I used to wonder if he was a bit toasted or defective. The other guys are just shills with no scruples but O'R? He seems just nuts.

You are friends with Sylvester Brown? Lucky you, he sounds like a great guy. Lucky him, I know you are a great guy.
