My wife just asked me who "Tweety" was
She's just started reading DU along with me and by herself and didn't know who y'all were referring to. When I told her she busted up laughing for about 10 minutes so I'd say we found an appropriate nickname for Mr. Matthews. :hippie:

i will talk really really slow. not hard.......really

i figure i am not the only one that uses that reference when emailing him

my husband has gotten my talk down, tweety, repugs..... lol lol. he is a republican. or he was a lifetime repug, but now, well voted kerry,..... still there is that loyalty. but it is fun that your wife reads the same site as you. mine is just beginning to take it seriously and talk about my time here as informative and knowledgable beyond msm. baby steps

he got the vote down

6. Tell her he was a smart ass in Catholic school, a nun's pet
who is a physical coward, who plays with exposing his homo-erotic feelings for Shrub, who does NOT respect women, especially his wife, who was even MORE obnoxious when he used to drink heavily, who has latched on to the formula of "writing" slim little books with large font and wide white spaces, who is a coward in terms of principles, who has traded for years under the false label of being a Democrat while his true self is shamefully Repuke... I could go on...

11. TMI?
Does it mean "too much information" or "Three Mile Island"?

9. An example of Tweety's "homo-erotic feelings for Shrub"
"We’re proud of our president. Americans love having a guy as president, a guy who has a little swagger, who’s physical, who’s not a complicated guy like Clinton or even like Dukakis or Mondale, all those guys, McGovern. They want a guy who’s president. Women like a guy who’s president. Check it out. The women like this war."

Chris Matthews, Hardball, May 1, 2003
