Seal hunt is a heinous stain on the character of a great nation.

How can people sit by and look the other way? What is the saying about how a country treats the most vulnerable is a sign of its level of civilization?
Shame, Canada, shame, shame on you.

and despicable travesty that mankind does to the other creatures which try to share our world. Canadians should put a stop to this _____ (I cannot think of a word evil enough to describe my disgust at this ____.)

Canada's hypocrisy about the seal slaughter is stupifying. I browsed a few online Canadian papers and not one of them mentioned a word about the massacre of the innocents that began this morning.

I could rant on about the seals, and animal cruelty in general, forever. :grr:

Harper earlier today to urge him to put a stop to the cruel
Canadian seal hunt that began this morning. We have just learned
that so many people (tens of thousands, in fact) have e-mailed
him that his computer system has apparently been overwhelmed.

As a result, you may have received an "undeliverable" message in
your e-mail inbox indicating that your message to the prime
minister was not delivered. Despite his office's assurances that
e-mails from our advocates would get through to the prime
minister, we were prepared for this to happen, so we made sure
that your email was carbon-copied to our ProtectSeals team here
at The HSUS.

Despite the "undeliverable" notice you may have received, your
message will not be lost. We will forward your e-mail to Prime
Minister Harper separately. (Of course, if you did not receive
an "undeliverable" message, it means that your e-mail did make
it through.)

the baby seals. We pledge to do everything in our power to end
