If the neo-cons don't like the press coverage of the Iraq war,
why don't they just pay reporters to create positive news stories?

1. They can send Jeff Gannon to Baghdad
or they can hire a PR firm to make a film about Iraq, make it look like a news report and distribute it to local stations.

4. Since that's not likely, they can just get out of Iraq
That's a more sensible solution.

6. How could they do the war better? The damage is done
It sounds like you would like them to backtrack.

5. They already tried that! It's illegal, and they got caught!
It's always the reaction of the loser to blame the messenger. Let 'em whine and moan, and really piss off the media. THEN we'll see and hear just how much bad stuff they haven't reported yet!

10. I can proudly stand up and say
I AM A DEMOCRAT
whereas a Republican really should hide in shame.
(not that they are... real republicans are far too arrogant or dumb or both)

11. I swear...some of them do get paid
If Sean Hannity and Limbaugh aren't getting a monthly check from the White House, then they really are radical windbags.

I don't think anyone can be that far off base though, without a motive.

Then again, you said "reporters"

12. Any & every good story from Iraq is already on FOX.
Think about it. If even FOX can't find any good news about Iraq, how much can there be?

13. Aren't they already?
The bushies spent $254 million in four years manipulating public opinion through the media. They are just pissed because that pesky little Smith Mundt Act of 1948 prohibits the spread of government propaganda in the United States, so they can't full on come out and turn all the major media outlets into their official little arm of the government.
