Why the word 'Homeland' in Homeland Security
A lot of people have wondered about the choice of the word. Here's my take:

6. Moon has stated that he wanted a 'Homeland'
for what was once called the Unification church and his followers before he died. It is a requirement of his prophecy.

11. It doesn't include people. The could have used a lot of terms, but
I feel this one was very deliberate. It could have been called, for example, National Security, but the word 'nation' implies, at least to me, people. So, it's more concerned with buildings, airports, things like that, than anything useful like catching an anthrax mailer, or whatever. Nice color coded threat level thingy, would have been useful for those OCD folks like me who can spend 15 minutes or more deciding which shirt to wear, except I tend to lean toward whites and pastels.

13. Fatherland had a very negative Q rating
so something similar had to be used.
