RANT re DEMOCRATS! Not the first, won't be the last.
Mrs. V. asked me (we're Marylanders): Would you rather have Senator Steele or Senator Cardin? "Senator Steele" was my reply because at least he is not Ben Cardin.

Now Mfume has been in the House, yes. I know that. Because of that he is not immune to Washington sleaze politics. But I trust Kweisi Mfume more than Ben Cardin -- my GOD, I cannot BEGIN to express how much more I trust Mfume than Cardin. I URGED Mrs. V. to re-register from Independent to Democrat so that she could vote for Mfume in the primary.

I wasn't serious -- I would not vote for Steele for Senate. If Cardin is our candidate then he will be our senator -- he would beat Steele. But as of today I can't say I would vote for Ben Cardin for Senate. He doesn't believe I have the right to marry my mate, for the love of Christ!! How could I vote for someone so fucking backwards?

And to my general Democrats rant: if they don't get their shit together and get a real platform underneath of them before the elections in November, we are FUCKED. F.U.C.K.E.D., people.

Democrats: get off of the god-damned presidential politics and I mean NOW. Please. Concentrate on the mid-year elections right now. This is what is important right now. We have seven months to take over one or both houses and it can be done -- but only if you all get your fingers out of your noses, quit the childish bickering, and stand up for what you know your base believes in.

Stop worrying about whether or not you will be re-elected and STAND UP FOR YOUR PRINCIPLES! If you still have any, that is.

We Democrats are liberals. Quit being Myron Milquetoast and yell back into the face of the next Republican who calls you a liberal as if it were a nasty word.

My Congressional rep, Steny Hoyer, doesn't need my money. His seat is secure. Kweisi Mfume needs my money; he's already had some and he will have more.

The DNC is not going to get one thin dime of my money unless it shows me it has some ovaries or balls or backbone. Come on, Dr. Dean. Step up to the plate -- be yourself and LEAD as leader of the DNC.

Otherwise, our country is in the fucking toilet before we even start to think about whom to nominate for president.

Right now, FORGET whom to put up as president.

MID-TERM ELECTIONS! Focus! Concentrate! Give this backbone-less country a chance!

2. Agreed
Get off the friggin' fence. Quit worrying that the pukes are gonna call you nasty names. They're going to anyway. They'll keep taking your lunch money until you fight back.

I don't remember who said it, but "Make a stand. And take it back to the people!"
