Answer: I guarantee that he would still be at the Post today and people like Jim Brady and Fred Hiatt would be digging in their heels for the long haul. Hell, they would see this as welcome attention.

Taken one step further, what if Jeff Gannon wasn't a male escort? Answer: He would still be in the WH press gaggle asking softball questions.

We got lucky here because these two nutjobs had other skeletons in their closets (no pun intended -- at least in terms of Gannon). But the point is that neither should have ever been in the positions they had, even if they had a "squeaky clean" background. I posted here a few days ago a letter canceling my subscription to the Washington Post. I don't know if it will do any good -- probably not. But I still have to do something. We all do.
