Markos of Daily Kos on "Reliable Sources"Crooks and Liars :

Markos of Daily Kos on "Reliable Sources"

Markos appeared on "Reliable Sources," today and explained the impact bloggers are having in politics today. He also talked about the Republican noise machine and James Brady's lack of googling capabilities regarding the hiring of Ben at the WashingtonPost's blog.

1. I caught Kos this a.m. I thought he did a good job in stressing the
importance of the blogosphere, and hopefully the future importance in upcoming elections. Politicians, are you listening?
And welcome to DU! :hi:

2. I like how he handled Kurtz
Didn't Kurtz give Ben Domenech a free pass originally in not criticizing him? I also wish that Markos would bring up examples of the MSM adding right-wing misinformation for the sake of "balance," such as in the case of the Abramoff scandal being "bipartisan" when it's not.

5. I think Markos, Katrina vanden Heuvel, Amy Goodman, even our
very own Skinner should get a lot more air time than they do. It would be nice if us Dems were represented as strongly as the right, and I don't mean with the likes of Donna Brazille. :eyes: People who really have their fingers on the pulse of the left would be so very refreshing!

3. Kurtz had no business whatsoever
discussing the washington post scandal given his connection with the washington post. Kos did a good job though.

6. A well-established blog-siter like Markos can only be there to talk about
blogging?? He can't be a regular guest to talk about weekly issues? The bias is deafening.

7. Well done on Kos's half.

kick --> :kick:

Kurtz has no business being critical of Kos/left-leaning bloggers seeing that his "news" paper, the Post has a blogger scandal brewing.

8. NYT has the whole first chapter on line.

Kos did a good job in the interview. Read most of the book, and I agree with most of it. There are some issues I will never totally be on board with though, like relegating single issues to the back burner to win. There has to be some compromise, but Kos and Jerome call for too much of it to suit.

1st chapter is good.
