13-year-old charged with threatening Bush

FLORENCE, Ky. -- A 13-year-old boy was charged with threatening President Bush after two e-mails containing threats were received by the Florence mayor, police said.

Bush is scheduled to be across the Ohio River on Monday to throw out the first pitch on opening day for the Cincinnati Reds. But Florence police Capt. Linny Cloyd said investigators didn't find anything in a search of the boy's home to make them think he was planning to carry out the threats.

"He is extremely well-versed in the history of President Bush," Cloyd said. "In talking with him, you can tell this is a hot-button topic with him."

Cloyd went to the teen's home Monday night with agents from the FBI and Secret Service. Cloyd said the boy's parents consented to a search of the home. A computer was seized from the home.
