Another long time Katherine Harris staffer bails out.

From my local (Central Florida) newsrag this morning ......

Link: http://www.theledger.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060329/NEWS/603290344/1004

Poor ol' Katherine. Everyone can see the writing on the wall but her. The fact that the Florida GOP has turned their collective back on her should have told her something. Looks like that Hannity infomercial didn't do her any good. This guy that just bailed out had been with her for twelve years.

But when Tampa-based political consultant Adam Goodman announced he had left her staff Monday, she lost more than just another hired gun trying to help her win a seat in the Senate.

Goodman is hardly alone in giving up on the campaign, which has struggled almost from the day it began. Her campaign finance chairman, her national fundraising chief, her campaign manager and a prominent national pollster have all abandoned her campaign, which has been marked by slow fundraising, bad poll numbers and a scandal over illegal campaign contributions.

I hope she stays in the race until the general election so that she will suffer a humiliating defeat. She earned it and she's got it coming.

3. Only ONE way to salvage her soul
She needs a true "Come to Jesus" moment where she confesses everything and names names....

then I'll have some compassion for her.....

she's miserable now...wait til she "bottoms out"....then we'll get our moment....

4. Between now and May 12, Democrats should go to her rallies
Just so there appears to be a faux smattering of support. We don't want her bowing out and having someone twist Jeb's arm!

Republicans are running out of time to find a candidate to take on Harris. In order to run, candidates must qualify by May 12. Republicans who have been approached have refused to get in the race, worried that Harris' name recognition is too much to overcome.

5. all together now: wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!
personally, I think it couldn't happen to a much more deserving person.

for all that she did to help sabotage our election process, the blatant, racially and politically-skewed "voter purge", for her partisanship, for her outright lies and responsibility for saddling us with this most destructive and hate-filled mis-administration, may she receive EVERYTHING she deserves.

8. The best thing for her to do is to confess her political sins...
and help set the course for America's turn from the corruption of the Bush Administration.

I would welcome such action and would consider buying the book.

7. Thank God she can still rely on Moxie and Spunk
These guys are avid supporters; looking deep into her soul instead of her eyes. Touching.

16. she forgot Bush world rule #1
This idiot compliantly carried out orders and delivered the count to Bush in 2000. And she stupidly thought that bought her some help. In the Bush world there are only two sorts of people: The Family, and everyone else is just the help. Guess what honey? That ain't you.
