Karl Rove to speak at Friday gala


Pensacola News Journal

The Escambia County Republican Executive Committee has opened ticket sales to the general public for the 2006 Reagan Day Gala.

White House deputy chief of staff Karl Rove is the special guest and speaker for this year’s event, which is Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn on Pensacola Beach.

Tickets are $50 per person. To purchase tickets, visit Jerry’s Cajun Cafe on Ninth Avenue between 2 and 6 p.m. today and Thursday or while supplies last.

This is very telling. I mean, you have a choice of how large a conference room you want, and if you start with a room for 500 and only sell 200 tickets, you close that divider down the middle so that the place doesn't look so empty. Hope some DU er will go and let us know how many people actually showed up! And $50 is damn cheap for a GOP meet and greet "gala".
