Has anyone put the pics side by side yet... just for fun? What a contrast!

Look! Everyone has steered clear of the middle of the street, no doubt for fear of a car-bomb or something. And the women don't even have money for clothes! It must be horrible in that other (non-occupied) Muslim country.


There! THAT'S better! Look how safe and secure the REAL Baghdad is (those large blue walls probably help with that). In the upper right, if you squint, you can see some Iraqis throwin' down a bitchin' block party! The night before, they were gathered around a bonfire! Too bad we didn't get a pic of that.

Baghdad is so safe and secure that, as I took this picture from the balcony, my masseuse told me he wouldn't need my bodyguards to escort him to his home (the quaint cottage in the lower right). Or at least he gave me a thumb's up, so I guess that's what he meant.

EDITED: Fixed (?) to view second pic from "non-Kaloogian" site. Thanks to Call Me Wesley and his thread (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=364x792466), which is where I clipped the picture. That thread's a great spoof of the whole picture fiasco, BTW.

There are two places I wouldn't want to be...and Baghdad is both of 'em.

I'm only getting the Turkish street scene. I'm on a Mac. Maybe that's why.

I knew it was on Kaloogian's site (which is down), but the first picture worked for me so I thought I'd try it.
