San Diego Immigration Demonstration. Dial up Warning.

From the time I spent down there it was peaceful. The SDPD were there in force but were respectful.
From what I was told the demonstration started in Chicano Park and made its way to Market Street. From there I followed the crowd to the Downtown area. My car was in a 30 minute zone, so I had to split.

"Police estimated the crowd at around 1,500, including students who were skipping school. The group began marching through city streets during the lunch hour."

1500?? I was there and estimated about 10,000.

If a group of white students walked out would the reporter write that they were "skipping school"?
