Seems to me that the more info about the McKinney incident comes out
the more foolish people here are looking.

A punch has morphed into a "poke".

Why do I get the feeling that the "poke" will morph into a "punk"?

I've especially enjoyed all the sanctimonious comments about "the law is the law" and all that jazz that the RW like to fall back on when they launch their witch hunts. It was clear from the start we didn't have all the facts and still don't...

I'll wait for all the facts to come out...The only thing I know for sure is this is going to be blown totally out of proportion by the powers that be. There's just no stopping this runaway train.

Many here are automatically blaming her. Many are conversely automatically blaming the cop.

The only thing it attributes to any officers (or police sources) is that the unidentified officer wants to press charges.

If it said...

"The unidentified officer wants to press assault charges against McKinney, a U.S. Representative from the 12th District, said Capitol Police sources familiar with the incident."

It wouldn't mean that the police sources said she was the U.S. Representative from the 12th District. It's just information added by the author for clarification.

Came to Fox.

They had a panel of soldiers on, all telling tales about how "peaceful and serene" Iraq was.

Problem is, one of the soldiers had an eye patch on. Eye had been blasted out. Another had this huge stitches scar that ran from one side of his head to the other.

Yup.

They sure are "lucky" to live in such a serene and peaceful country.

That our congressional representatives have once again exempted themselvs from the laws they demand we follow.

Representative McKinney was bypassing the metal detector, that every other CITIZEN has to endure, but not our Elected officials. Representatives, Senators, and even Presidents should have to pass through that metal detector, because the basic ideal our nation was founded upon was that we would have no royalty, none above, nor below the law. Elected Officials are no different than any other person, and should be required to follow all laws, and rules, the same as every other citizen.

They aren't Czarist Elites are they?
