You do realize that a good number of these immigrants, whether legal or illegal actually do NOT want to become US citizens? They are here because the prospect for jobs is better than in their own country(thank NAFTA). When prospects in their home countries improve, many will move back, this isn't unusual. In fact, I'm surprised, many in the other thread mentioned the Irish flag, doesn't anyone know about the illegal immigrants from there that are leaving this country as fast as possible because of the enviroment right now? My Grandmother's best friend is a woman from Britian who married an American GI during WW2, she has lived in this country since then and has YET to become a citizen, that's over 50 years being here, and she runs a shop that flys the Union Jack over it(Specializes in British Goods).

The protesters waiving Mexican flags in the US have the same mission/intention as the occupiers in Iraq?
