Dear Congress - Pack it up and come home, you're no longer needed
My letter to my Congressional Reps (Dole, Burr and Foxx - yeah, they represent me alright)

Dear Senator (Congresswoman)

On Dec 16th, President Bush declared your position in the government and the power that goes with it to no longer be required. By authorizing NSA domestic wiretapping, in spite of Congressional intent to the contrary and bypassing judicial oversite, he made the decision to downsize the US Government and eliminate your position. I'm not sure if that constitutes a firing or simply a lay off - unfortunately you join the ranks now of far too many of your previous constituents.

Unlike those of your home state who have lost their jobs to outsourcing, oversized corporate executive salaries or the need to pump the bottom line for the stock holders - you actually do have one last chance to keep your job rather than be permanently dismissed by the Exective Branch.

You have an obligation to return to Washington in January and call this out of control President to account. We did NOT send you to our Nation's capitol as a waste of time and money - but if you fail to exercise the power that we've entrusted to you to run our country - then all of your time has been wasted and all of the money that we've paid you in salary and benefits has been for no good.

If you won't fight for your own job, then please pack up your office and leave the keys with the proper custodian. Capitol Security can escort you directly out of the building, there will be no need to stop at Human Resources - we're not offering you a severence package.

The choice is yours Senator (Congresswoman). Do you want your job? Or will you let President Bush declare you useless to the nation and expendable in his War?

9. And Great Health Benefits, too.
Along with all those other privileges, like getting away with all that corruption.

But don't "we the people" dare error as humans!

They might as well pack-it up and go home. They vote in lock-step (Repubs). Dems have no control.
What's the point in even being there if they're not there to protect US, our Constitution & Bill of Rights.

7. You're Assuming Foxx Knows How To Read
She's such a sexy thing...strutting to the podium and reading those resolutions saluting the rural Young Repugnicans or one preacher or another. This stuff is waaaaay above her comprehension level. She's on permanent zombie mode. Looks like she took the job of the late Minnie Pearl/Tillie Fowler...the kindly old grandma of the criminal enterprise. LOL.

Liddy Dole? Is she still alive? Talk about being all but invisible these days. Maybe some troubles at home with her Viagra test track.

:toast:

Happy New Years...

11. LOL, you've got her down perfectly. I'm hoping someone in her office can
read it. I thought about printing it on a pink slip, but figured they'd call in Homeland Security thinking it was something harmful since I doubt any of them know what a pink slip actually is.

12. GREAT letter- too bad you don't have the money
to persuade the recipient like his/her corporate
masters do...
none the less-you have taken the action necessary
to tweak the their consciousness for a nano second.
Good for you.
