I believe she is hurting the Dems

although probably only marginally, she is hurting herself more

the incident itself is forgetable.

And we won't defend her.

That I would dare say that if the RW wanted to divide and conquer, they would come to DU and rage and stomp about "if you aren't with Cynthia, you must be a freeper" type of rhetoric.

Why can't everyone take a deep breath.

We don't know what happened other than what the media, and Cynthia are reporting happened.

But Cynthia has retained an attorney, and a grand jury is now looking into this.

I find it hard to believe that just because people like her, that they wouldn't be asking, "wait a minute, what did happen?" instead of jumping to the concusions that a) the cops are racists; b) the media is hungry to have a Dem doing something wrong; and c) that you have to "pick a side"

I choose not to pick a side, I will wait for the situation to work itself out. That doesn't make me a "freeper" it doesn't make me dysloyal to the Democratic "cause" (I think winning elections is our cause), and while I have no idea if the media is hungry for a Dem scandal, they might be, but that still doesn't affect my stance.

I don't see what her hijinks do for or against the Democratics' cause, except there may be a seat lost if she's convicted of something.

More than that, she's making herself look very, very bad. Hey Cindy, you're not better than any other rep on the Hill. Being a congresswoman doesn't give you a free ticket to be as rude as you like.

I support her, but the other side wants to stir it up because it helps them hide the stank of Iraq, traitors, and pervs at DHS.

If she was abused, then it should be dealt with. Yet, the reason why the GOP has managed to dominate the Government is standing by themselves. To a point, we need that, otherwise we'll fall into the same power-trap.

But I think it's instructive that there's such a vitriolic attack on her, no matter what happens.

They don't attack individuals for nothing. She's hated. Despised. Loathed.

And I'd like to know why, exactly.

The more airplay this whole thing gets, the more damage it's gonna do to Dems. Unless a video comes out that clearly vindicates McKinney, this thing does not help us at all.

I evut of the way to no bias the poll with any comment. pro or cone.. I was mere curious as to how the comunity felt...sorry you don;t like the majority view.

The best & worst thing about McKinney is that she could care less what other people think about her. She's not going to change to help a Dem. house takeover, IMO.

however every time I've seen her on TV she's been horribly rude and that doesn't help her issue or democrats at all
