Has'nt there been enough time wasted on this talking head already? No wonder the country's going down the drain if such a high priority and extensive coverage is given to a topic like this one.

So? What's the expectation of rednecks about Katie Couric? That she's damned if she acts feminine (too light to chair a news program), or damned if she doesn't act feminine (to bitchy to chair a news program)? Uuummmm, is there something supposed to be read into her light demeanor on a light demeanor daily "news" magazine morning show? LOL

In all sincerity, I await seeing what she can do. Let's keep on open mind, shall we? DUers will, I am sure.

every morning from the first day she began on Today until the late '90's -- & I'm familiar with her style. It's obnoxious enough that the soon-to-be 50-year-old depends on her "perky cheerleader" act to get by, but she's a media tool for the Republicans & a consistent "gotcha" interviewer of the Democrats. And she has a mutual fondness of the Bushes (I wouldn't be surprised if they helped her get that job).

The only thing that interests me is how her transition from a network that holds huge defense contracts to the network that gave us Edward R. Murrow & Walter Cronkite goes. I won't be tuning in; I'll watch the clips from canofun or crooks&liars.
