It IS happening right NOW.

I know...

Five years of this lying, thieving, criminal, sack of crap....

But, it IS happening.

I am not saying tomorrow Bush will be impeached.

But, Bush is in SERIOUS trouble with the Plame leak.

Because, he lied and lied and lied and lied and lied....page after page after page on the record...

Stating it was a serious matter...

A criminal investigation.

Leaker should be FIRED.

This could be the one that sends the Republicans running for political cover. The one that will push them to make Bush their sacrificial lamb for the 06 election.

so he is not the type of commander in chief we want to go to bettle with or he is INCOMPETENT.

the neo-cons are attempting to finger Bush in order to force Bush into covering for the neo-cons.

7. Yes, that sounds very plausible
They probably told him while he was semi-unconscious, "hey Dubya, we're gonna tell Novak that Wilson's wife is NOC" and he mumbled and rolled over and they gave each other the thumbs up. Butts covered.

These guys are total backstabbers, they pretend loyalty but it is more like omerta.

15. the mysterious 30-odd % of America
that still backs Bush also believe that:

1) Plame was not truly undercover at the time of her "outing"

2) that the President has the power to de-classify anything he wants, whenever he wants

Amazingly, unless this escalates considerably, it will not affect his base support.

read the court documents. Bush is only in serious trouble if the document he "declassified" mentioned Valerie Plame. Nothing in the court papers prove that.

There is still no link between Bush and Plame. All the court document said was that Bush told Libby he could disclose the information in a certain document. Libby did so. During that conversation, Libby mentioned Plame.

It however, does NOT say that Libby got the information about Plame from the document that Bush authorized him to discuss.

In other words, it could be a case of "Hey, Miller, Bush gave me this piece of paper. See? Iraq WAS trying to buy yellow cake uranium! And oh, by the way, X told me that Wilson's wife is a CIA agent." See what I'm saying?

Of course it is possible that Wilson was mentioned in the document. If so...goldmine! My point being, there is no solid evidence in the court document to support that assumption.

*edit: name confusion

31. Yes, it might
I'm just saying that the information we were given today doesn't warrant proclamations of the death of BushCo.

Which really isn't that surprising. When you think about it, is Fitz really going to drop a bomb like that on page 23 of an otherwise bland, procedural court document? Hardly.

36. The Leak of Plame is important
Bush is in trouble for misleading the country...he lied or lead the country to believe he knew nothing about the leak...when in fact he authorized it. Not once, but repeatedly. He lied to the American people. He lied about the the lead up to war. Authorized this leak to cover the fact ...HE KNEW THERE WERE NO WMD IN IRAQ.

47. I agree with you
honestly, I do. All I'm saying is that the court document is NOT the golden bullet. It doesn't say that Bush leaked Plame's name. It says that Bush leaked a document, whose contents remain unclear.

It's possible that the leaked document is the key. But we don't KNOW that yet, because we don't know what it said. All we know is that during the conversation in which Libby and Miller discussed the document that Bush "declassified," Libby also mentioned Plame. We still don't know for sure where he got that information. Sure, I think it's Bush and/or Cheney, but we don't have legally acceptable proof of that yet. Fitz very well might, but we don't.

I'm just saying that a celebration is premature.

35. Is anyone else seeing this pattern?
I've noticed recently that Republican politicians are tending more and more to resign before the term is up, even when not forced. That allows them to always be running an incumbent. I can't be sure, but it looks like it's an intentional process. A presidential resignation any time now would fit that pattern. What do they care, after all? It's the money and connections to power, not real patriotism or a desire to be of help that motivates them. Anybody else seeing any indication of this?
