Today's Limbaugh show

Today on his show he had a caller on who was giving Congress hell for dividing the party between "Wall Street Journal Republicans & Pat Buchanan Republicans". Elizabeth from S CA went on to describe herself as WSJ Repub. Buchanan's are the ones who want seal the border and deport all the illegals. She made the point about how that would destroy our economy. Her belief is that American kids going into the job market are so high-tech & well educated who's going to work in the restaurants, etc. Rush was trying to argue he agrees with legal immigration but he had a problem with the ones who won't assimilate. She made the point, "How can they assimilate if they are illegal?" Rush dodged some more. She came across as an elitist but she handed him his hat a few times.

Then she really went off. "Republicans suck! You guys couldn't get anything done about social security, now your screwing up immigration legislation. The baby boomers will be leaving the workforce soon and I'll be damned if you touch one cent of my money to fix SS when we could fix it by taxing immigrants legally" She really went off about how much of a failure the Repubs have been during their reign. When she finished, Rush said "My transcriber went down. I still have problems with my hearing. The last thing I heard was you are unhappy with the Republicans?"

People, he is still deaf. He has someone type what his callers say. Even if he was dodging what she said he has a transcriber. Is this common on talk shows? It was pretty interesting hearing Rush get spun around by a woman who sounded like she was maybe 25 or 30. If the transcripts up on his site, he tallked with her for about twenty minutes. I didn't agree with most of what she said but there is definitely a split in republican party.

I said it a year or two ago, but we're gonna see the republican split up into the sane, fiscally conservative, 'real' republican party; and the lying, weasely, corrupt religious charlatan party.

Not that the original version of republican didn't have it's own lying, weasely corrupt part, but it was always about money and power, not religious "family values" bullshit and trying to bring on the eschaton and using Jesus for their pwn purposes.

The Wall Street Journal part of the republican is also the educated, intelligent (even though still often wrong, it's because their premeses are wrong, not because they ignore facts or twist the truth or just hold onto completely contradictory views and call it "Scriptural") part of the party.

We won't see the meltdown for this election, but by 2008, the republican party will have splintered and self-destructed.

Limbaugh's future, either as a prisoner or as a right-wing radio hack, is completely in the hands of the Bush Family.

If the Wall Street Journal crowd criticizes Bush, Rush has to defend Bush.

If the Right Wing Christians criticize Bush, Rush has no option, but to defend Bush.

Bush is now exclusively the pawn of the Bush Family because he can't dare offend them or Governor Jeb Bush might give the wink and nod to Florida's Attorney General to squeeze him just a little more and bring him back into line.

That "hysterical" "gal" was using the same argument as many anti-abortion advocates.

Liz and the anti-abortion nuts argue that more people and more people and more people and more people are needed to maintain their lifestyles.
