With "leakgate" There should be no reason left not to vote for censure

I mean if not now then when. It's clear this president has broken laws. Our dem reps MUST back feingold now.

What does everyone think? Shouldn't latest news remove any doubt that they should vote for censure?

Durbin said something about more investigations as well, so I expect we will end up with MORE censure hearings.

Where those who are sworn by oath to uphold
the Constitution and rule of law do neither.

The reason these atrocities are displayed to
no event or consequence is because those
SWORN to uphold the law are themselves
lawless and owned by the same coporate
masters as those who have comitted the crimes.

The censure resolution is specific in being about warrantless wiretaps. It has nothing to do with the Plame matter.

I have expressed my view here and elsewhere several times today, so it won't hurt to do it again: Censure is such a mild remedy to Bush's misdeeds as to be hardly a remedy at all. Bush, Cheney and many others should impeached and removed from office, then stand trial for war crimes and crimes against humanity and sent to prison for the rest of their natural lives. If the federal government is unable or unwilling to make a good faith effort to prosecute, then an international tribunal should be established for this purpose.

Some will feel politically safer knowing that bush*s goose is cooking :)

For crying out loud, try give somebody a reason not to impeach Bush. It's pretty difficult. Had he actually won the 2000 election, he would be the most crooked president we have ever had, Nixon included.

Not long ago, it was daily revelations about corruption and wrongdoing within the administration. Now its daily revlation about what he did.

That's why this should stay in committee, to use as a catalyst to dig out the rest of the information and create a legal chain of evidence, to prove beyond all doubt everything the Bushies are guilty of. People calling for a vote are way premature, not even in line with what Feingold wants.

However, the point I am making, perhaps not well,
is that our so called representatives will not
even act on censure hearings, much less impeachment.
Their asses are owned by the global multi nationals
and military industrial complex who are not about
to give up the power they have amassed over
every living soul.
What is jaw dropping about the whole mess
is the fact that EVERY half conscious person on the
planet KNOWS that the entire gang of thieves and
liars should be standing trial for crimes against humanity
(for starters) and yet NOTHING, NO consequence at all
is invoked by the congress or the senate.
Little blips here and there that never amount to jack shite.
What ARE we going to do?
International intervention would be nice, until you
realize the powers that be control them too.

There was a thread the other day about Democrats watching the polls and waiting for the level of support for censure to rise to 60% before supporting. Impeachment would probably involve a similar strategy.

That may be a good idea. Impeaching Bush (and, hopefully, the whole rotten core around him) should not be thought of as revenge for the impeachment of Clinton. This is serious and, unlike the case with Clinton, so are Bush's crimes.
