Is Scooter an "Aspen" and is he now "turning" as he wrote to Miller?

Remember the curious note from Scooter Libby that Judith Miller received while she was still in jail? Shortly after Libby sent Miller the note, she agreed to spill it to Fitzgerald and she was released from jail.

Here's Scooter's note to Judy:
“You went into jail in the summer. It is fall now. You will have stories to cover—Iraqi elections and suicide bombers, biological threats and the Iranian nuclear program. Out West, where you vacation, the aspens will already be turning. They turn in clusters, because their roots connect them. Come back to work—and life. Until then, you will remain in my thoughts and prayers. With admiration, Scooter Libby.”

Since Scooter is currently "turning" against this administration--can we infer that Libby was telling Miller that she no longer needed to sacrifice for the administration--because soon many would turn against them? They turn in clusters"...does this mean that multiple sources would come out with evidence against higher ups in the administration?

It sounds like Scooter was telling Miller that protecting this administration was in vain--because they're going down anyway.

Another DUer (and I apologize profusely for not remember the name) made the connection between the Aspen Conference attendees and Scooter's turning Aspens. During the time when Libby wrote this note, a conference was held in Aspen. Only elite, influential conservatives were invited. Robert Novak wrote a column titled, "Bashing Bush in Aspen" about the Colorado conference and the shared vitriol against Bush. Also interesting--that in the Fall of 2005, Libby suggested that Miller would be writing about the "Iranian nuclear program". He was prognosticating that Iran would be a big issue by now. Well, it is. Both Libby and Miller are entrenched in PNAC.

It seems as if the neocon PNAC warmongers have had enough of Junior, and that they're in the process of taking him down.
