WASHINGTON (AP) -- Vice President Dick Cheney was taken to George Washington Hospital early Monday experiencing shortness of breath, a spokeswoman said.

Lea Anne McBride said that doctors found his EKG unchanged and determined he was retaining fluid because of medication he was taking because of a foot problem.

Cheney, who has a long history of heart problems and has a pacemaker in his chest, was placed on a diuretic.

McBride said the vice president was expected to be released from the hospital later Monday.

21. Umm 4 heart attacks, quadruple bypass surgery
that alone should of disqualified him from getting VP. It sure should eliminate him from being President.

In addition, he's had two artery-clearing angioplasties and an operation to implant a special pacemaker in his chest.

2 blood clots removed from his behind his knees.

14. Not necessarily.
There are so many better reasons he is unfit to be Vice President.

2006 is lookin' like a good year so far... if 1 war criminal drops
every week, by the years end, an end to terrorism could be in
sight.

What great news.

10. I was thrilled at the news.
Unfortunately, I guess he's OK. Losing this foul monster who has so defiled America is the best thing that could happen to the country right now.

Cheney is behind every problem we have. He spearheaded the dishonest rush to a foolish war in Iraq. He said "deficits don't matter" as he bankrupted our Treasury. He said conservation is a "personal virtue, but no basis for policy" as he polluted our air and water. His personal goal is an imperial president (conveniently under his control) who answers to nobody, a clearly un-American, undemocratic goal.

I favor his removal by any means necessary.

18. Too much of a good thang?
I heard that, the way they have sex these days, is that she farts and then pulls the covers over Dicky's head! Maybe he tried to take too big of a whiff and was too old to cut the mustard.

Bush was prolly spying on Dick last night, so I'll bet he has video tape of the hole thing. I'll bet they all take turns spying on each other.

11. I think it's part of the master plan,
it's about time for Cheney to step down. I've had a couple of scenarios that gets Cheney out of the picture. If Bu$h decides to step down in 08, "that's still a big If IMHO" they "RNC" are going to need someone that can run in 08.

Cheney, has alway said he had no plans on running in 08 besides he not electable. A sitting VP has a better chance of getting elected they have all the trapping of the VP office.

Besides Cheney has done about all he can do to screw things up, and according to the MSM, he's fallen from grace with Bu$h. So now we can start taking bet's on who will step in for the VP slot.

I think Condi is polling @ 65%, how about Powell?
