MegaMarch Sunday: Largest Civil Rights March in Dallas City History
Edited on Fri Apr-07-06 09:46 AM by Dr. Jones
This Sunday 4/9, Dallas will host what is billed to be the largest civil rights march in Dallas City history - MegaMarch Dallas for American Values and Justice. The subject of course is immigration.

The website is rather patriotic, and rightfully so. Our country has been generous in allowing immigrants, both legal AND illegal, into our country. No other country that I know of has been so open. It is in that vein that I sincerely hope immigrants will consider how fortunate they are and how their dream of living in America has become a reality. Therefore they should leave their Mexican flags at home, and wave the flag of the country who generously took them in - the country they now reside in and are grateful to be in - the country that has given them a hope and a future - the United States of America.

1. This country uses Mexicans as slave labor!
We all know that!... And many countries, such as England probably have a higher immigration level than the US.

2. Yes, that's true, but it's across the board.
There are indeed many illegals that our greedy companies use for slave labor, it is because of this that the wages of middle class Americans are getting depressed and jobs are not going towards Americans but towards these low-paid illegals. Who can compete? Not any American!

At the same time, there are many immigrants, both legal and illegal, who set out to come to the United States to live. It was their dream, their hope for a life and a future. And my point is, the United States has given them that life. It just seems to me that to wave the flag of any other country above our own is a slap in the face to the United States of America and to those who were kind enough to open our doors to them.

3. I'm not sure if Europe has a big problem w/illegals.
Maybe I'm wrong - but it seems to me that the U.S. is much more open in allowing illegals to cross over our borders.
