VIDEO - Interview: NC Man Who Shamed Bush During Speech

Yesterday, Mr. Bush delivered another Iraq War PR speech which was sponsored by the nonpartisan World Affairs Council of Charlotte at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, North Carolina.

After the speech, Bush accepted questions from the audience. Harry Taylor shamed The President with his question. Taylor mentioned NSA domestic spying, detaining Americans with being charged, policies that hurt the enviroment. Taylor told Bush that he was ashamed of the U.S. Government. Taylor finished his question by saying, "I would hope you have, from time to time, the humility and the grace to be ashamed of yourself... inside yourself."

In this video, Soledad O'Brien interviews Harry Taylor about his televised of berating President Bush.

3. Saw the entire video last night, on KO I think.
It was great. I sat on the couch and applauded to the TV. And all * could do was defend the wiretapping....Schmuck!

What surprises me is he wasn't pre-screened.

7. Bush's mannerisms during that questioning
Was not even remotely worthy of a leader. He looked more seriously disturbed than ever. I think if he could have attacked that man he would have.

12. It was reeeeeeaaaaallllly scary
For a moment, I imagined that it was Clinton taking the tough question, and I could see how he would cock an ear, maybe squint a bit, and then respectfully address the questioner. The chimp was swaying and strutting and flailing and smirking and inappropriately smiling -- it's the kind of defensiveness that I've seen from drunk friends when they fuck up, and you've called them to the carpet -- like "intervention defensiveness" or something. Truly frightening.

8. So now the few remaining * supporters will be saying...
..."You see, Our Chimp isn't hiding behind screeners," because he let this one guy into a room that was otherwise packed with plants.

The Chimp's response was so typical of him--frivolous and glib in the face of serious concerns, and, of course, unresponsive.

14. And the inappropriate grinning that only children do when they
are caught doing the wrong thing!

(I can only imagine how abrasive he must come across to you, having a son in the military under his realm. The fact that I have two sons is why I feel compelled to stay informed. I wish you the best.)

19. Yeah, I have the same visceral repulsion
My son is a Marine with two tours and a third imminent. So, when I see Bush grinning and leering when discussing serious matters like troop deaths, it's stomach churning.
