8. Holy Joe represents the group of people
who have just sort of "floated by" after decades of soft living, not being accountable for much except to their friends with money in their pockets.

He's a Politician from the dinosaur Age. And like the dinosaurs, he will be deemed inefficient, a creature that needs to go to the dustbin of Darwin's Law.

Times have changed. People want a change. They see that people like Joe Holyman are nothing more than remoras that hang on to the fish, sucking it dry.

When the elections come and cast him out, he will be absolutely clueless. He'll sit and cry, and not understand what went wrong.
