The President Is Trying to Get Impeached
The President Is Trying to Get Impeached
by Cenk Uygur
............

Why else would you brazenly say this when you already know you're the person who ordered the leak:

"Let me just say something about leaks in Washington. There are too many leaks of classified information in Washington. There's leaks at the executive branch; there's leaks in the legislative branch. There's just too many leaks. And if there is a leak out of my administration, I want to know who it is. And if the person has violated law, the person will be taken care of.

"And so I welcome the investigation."

He welcomed the investigation because he couldn't wait for nap time. Calgon, take me away!

He says the person "will be taken care of" because he longs for the days when he was taken care of. When he got awful grades in school and wanted to go to a top notch college anyway -- no problem, dad will take care of it. Didn't want to go to Vietnam or even bother showing up for National Guard duty -- no problem, dad will take care of it. Run a business into the ground -- no problem, dad will take care of it. If someone could just take care of him now, everything would be back to the way it was.

Don't worry George, we can make your problems go away. It's a little thing called impeachment. Just ask anyone in your party, they know all about it. I know you've been trying hard to get relieved of your command because it's too much homework.

......................

Georgy needs a nap. He's dying to get fired. Will someone put this guy out of his misery and impeach him already? Believe me, you'd be doing him a favor.

9. Sure, you and I wouldn't be fooled, but there are millions of sheeple
who will swallow it all hook, line and sinker.

As PT Barnum said, "There's a sucker born every minute."

15. Even I disagree with that and I am a pessimists about whether or
not the pResident will be punished quickly over the recent revelations. I have seen a HUGE turnaround here in my red state. Not very many supporting * and anti-* shirts, signs, flyers...EVERYWHERE.

The sheeple aren't going to follow this time. If there is a "terror attack" they will BLAME this administration for the incompetency.

As far as punishment goes no punishment will happen for Bush himself until after the Nov. elections (Rethugs in office are still disconnected). cheney may face some form of punishment before that time but any investigation is going to take months so that punishment is only likely to come from the administration.

7. I don't know if it's so much he wants to or he thinks it's not possible
I mean he already spends most of his time at his ranch. Obviously a figure head, I'd say at the very most what he wants is a total shift of power over to the vice president. If impeached, he loses sensitive security that's probably saving his life. I'd say the secret service is his legitimate reviving machines at the moment...

I personally think (and the photo helps clarify my opinion) the man is totally and completely insane. He's probably a paranoid schizophrenic, and thought the victims of hurricane katrina were terrorists, thinks americans are terrorists. I wouldn't be surprised if he had that one disorder where he really believes he's god...

being rescued from bad situations by Babs and Poppy or one of Poppy's friends. He just figured if he got caught in his bold-faced lie, he would be rescued again. Haven't they already called in the family Consigliore, Baker?

Worst case, the BFEE would just engineer another terrorist attack here in the US, and all the lemmings and sheeple will just line up right behind him again.
The stupidity and apathy of most of the American people can be counted on to ensure his getting out of this scot free....as usual.

 :grr: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

EDIT: He knows he won't get impeached. Look at the choices available to take over the Presidency!!!!!!!!

12. Actually, Bush's handlers
want him impeached. They want him out. Bush has never been a leader. He's only been a front-man for the real tarantula behind the scenes.

But he's done such a crappy job that they've had enough.

My crystal ball says he's finished.

14. Articles of Impeachment; Defense rests
Ah, that's funny.
But this morning they were having conversation on the term 'leak'. If the president has authority to divulge and de-classify information he may, and he does, so therefore it's not a leak.
But if the president did not authorize the declassification, even if it was to Cheney, then yes it is a 'leak'.

Now the procedure of the president delagating the vp. a job, is unknown to me, but there could be fault there, since bush says he hadn't authorized declassifications...though maybe he just didn't remember.

Also, if the person who came out saying he was told to declassify information does not also say he was told to divulge names of CIA members, there would be little evidence for a crimal act.

BUT, It is more evidence for debauchery in the administration, falsely leading the US into a war.
:) Articles of impeachment!

17. Do I have to say it one more time? * CANNOT declassify this info.
The Intelligence Identities Protection Act of 1982, for example. It has no exemption for the President.

He can have a nap cell next to manuel noriega, who we have put in a box forever because he was no longer a useful idiot. In fact Saddam, Manuel, and George can bunk together.

18. I was married to a sociopath like **
Guys like these goons speak out of both sides of their mouths.

They are adept at manipulating because they can adapt their message to fit the crowd. They honestly think you should believe their lies, simply because they offered them in earnest.

I do believe that ** is one of those kinds who sabotages himself, but not out of self-hatred. He screws up his own life because he has no boundaries. Poppy and Babs taught him about the good life and power, but they never told him about morality and limits and consequences.

They just expected him to lie his way out of all his fuckups so the family would save face, and then they proceeded to help bail him out.

He hasn't got a clue what it means to be impeached.

20. Very good analysis. Too bad you had to know one "up close and personal."
I don't think he REALLY wanted to run for president again but the right wing nutjobs made him do it. He doesn't seem to be enjoying it very much this time around.
