1. As a BUSH, he is excused from actually having to *ahem* run...
they are just appointed and annointed and confirmed by the Supreme Court.

9. Two RUMORS making the rounds (they could be wishful thinking)
RUMOR NUMBER ONE: Jeb resigns from the governorship before 12 May of this year, the last day that the GOP can substitute a candidate on the Senate ballot. Katherine Harris, with her campaign workers Moxie and Spunk, steps aside, and JEB is installed by the FL GOP to run for the Senate. He is on the ballot in NOV.

RUMOR NUMBER TWO: John McCain's deal with Chimpy, which began around the time of that sweaty HUG, which, for the record, took place in FLORIDA, includes Chimpy supporting him as the Presidential candidate IN EXCHANGE FOR putting JEBBY on the ticket as VP.

Both rumors are not mutually exclusive...

10. Gov. Bush says "no, hell no" to possible Senate candidacy
http://www.contracostatimes.com/mld/cctimes/news/politics/14290486.htm

BRENT KALLESTAD
Associated Press

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Gov. Jeb Bush made it clear Friday that he will not seek the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate seat now held by Democrat Bill Nelson, regardless of who asks him to run.

"No, hell no," Bush said when asked if he would consider replacing U.S. Rep. Katherine Harris as the Republican candidate if she ends her faltering campaign.

He said he is asked all the time about getting into the contest. What if his brother, President Bush, called? "No. (Even if) Pope Benedict calls," Bush responded. "I'm not doing it, trust me. I am not interested."

Bush, 53, has retained a high popularity rating through his two terms as governor. He has frequently been mentioned as a presidential candidate for 2008. He has repeatedly denied he would run then, but hasn't ruled out a candidacy after that.

11. DR Bill Frist (Harvard MD)
said that based on a web cam exam (like the Terri Schiavo exam last year), Jebbie is a very sick man - heart murmur, hypercholesterol, hyperglycemia, gout, possible signs of Parkinsons -- and he should not consider anything but complete bed rest until after the 2008 election. And that is the advice from "America's Doctor" (No, not Howard Dean, not Dean Edell, nor Sanjay Gupta - but Bill Frist).

14. If Katherine Harris becomes a woman scorned, I see an
orange jumpsuit in his future or maybe Columba might go Loreena Bobbitt.

15. make lots and lots of money
I don't think he'll run for Senate. He's the one person who could beat Harris in a republican primary, so there would be no reason for him to wait and lose all that campaign time.

Don't know about president. Not in 2008 would be my guess. His own baggage and his brother's baggage? Verrrry heavy.

17. I hope, after his brother is thrown out of office...
that we make it a law that anyone with the last name "Bush" can never hold high office ever again.
