on last night's Colbert Report? THE MAN IS GOD. Who else can perform acrobatic feats then sit down and play a stupid, narcissistic conservative talking head buffoon?

1. Can't verify what you saw ...
I fell asleep and will catch the rebroadcast.

Had to respond with the same (well almost) "hero worship"

4. It was a stunt double and tricky camerawork. Phony, like most RWers.
B-)

5. Well...somebody did one...
It was unclear to me, based on the camera angles, that it was Colbert. Sort of looked to me like it was a stunt double. But cute, nonetheless. And yes, he is a god, isn't he...

BTW, I thought he & Kos had a great conversation last night. Kos was pretty cool & funny.

8. Heh, that is the oldest stuntman trick in the book.
Notice you did not see *him* do the flip. You saw him run towards the camera, camera cuts just as he's flipping, and when the flipper lands, he lands off camera, and Colbert comes bouncing up to make it look like he did the stunt.

They do that in movies a lot.

at the beginning of the Kos interview clip I saw at crooks & liars. I will have to catch the repeat tonight. :-)

14. the tip off was his glasses. . .
he took them off and put them in his shirt jacket, after the flips he took them out of his shirt pocket and put them on. If you've ever done a flip you'd know, your glasses will not stay in your shirt pocket. (Oh yeah, and his jacket being at the other table after the flip? Another tip off.)

I go hot and cold on Colbert. Sometimes I am just so sick of the likes of Rush/O'Rielly/Hannity I don't even want to see them parodied. (It was great this week when his guest seemed to think he was a right winger! Wasn't that the guy who married Campbell whoever?)
