For conservatives, America is an answer

For liberals, America is a question, and the continual seeking of the answer to that question is a process that keeps the country vital.

For conservatives, America is a pat answer to every doubt, every question of conscience, everything beyond the blinkered range of their worldview. My country right or wrong. Love it or leave it. The usual litany of unthinking platitudes, prompted by a fixation on a mythical time called "The Good Old Days", a melange of "Ozzie and Harriet", Norman Rockwell and Bonzo Goes to Washington.

1. Good Observation...

If you already know the answer... there's no point in pursuing it. Likewise, I suppose is the tendency of that side to simply conclude that all the mysteries and frontiers of knowledge are answered in one simple three letter word (G*d)(which is fine if you want to sit in the dark).
