Can we vote for "Conservative Idiots Of The Week"?

Or at least, make nominations?

In a week that has produced many eligible candidates for that elite list, I have one in mind who the judges really should consider:

Sheila Polk, Yavapai County (Arizona) Attorney General, elected in 2000 on the Republican ticket, and reelected in 2004:

Ms.Polk was in charge of prosecuting two 18 year old camp counselors -- one of whom is the son of Arizona state Senate president, Ken Bennett (R-Prescott) -- who were each facing 18 counts of aggravated assault and 18 counts of kidnapping after they inserted broomstick handles and flashlights into the rectums of 18 young boys in 40 different incidents at a sleep-away camp.

Ken Bennett's perverted son and the other sicko 18 year-old confessed to inserting the objects into the boys' rectums, but Sheila Polk -- the prosecutor -- fought hard and won a plea deal for the two: they'll each plead guilty to only one charge of assault, and receive little or no jail time. (Oh, yeah - the second punk was also facing charges of choking four of the boys until they passed out. But those charges will not be pursued now).

Simply and somewhat graphically put, the defendants would use a broom stick or flashlight and push it into the crevice of campers' buttocks over their clothes. Sometimes someone held the victims down and sometimes not. There is absolutely no evidence that this was done with a sexual motivation. No penetration occurred, either in the anus or rectum. The victims were not secreted away to a hiding spot while this was done to them. It was done in front of the other campers. In fact, several photographs were taken by other campers. This is hardly the work of sexual predators. Rather, it is the work of two young men repeatedly making poor decisions. We all have heard reports of this sort of thing throughout the United States over many years: hazing gone wrong." (my italics and bold type)

Oh, I forgot: Another reason why Polk and her team of "prosecutors" didn't consider these actions 'sexual assault' is because the two perpetrators are not homosexual.

"...over their clothes..." So, if a man were to fondle the breasts of 18 girls who were wearing shirts, it wouldn't be 'sexual assault'?

In the end, I think Ms.Polk has certainly deserved consideration for this week's list.
