Bumper Sticker: Annoy a liberal: Work hard and be happy
I walked past it in a parking lot, keys in hand.

I thought of this one:

Annoy a conservative: Work for Peace and Justice

1. Hmmmm
I am a liberal, I work hard, and I am relatively happy.

They are the ones that are pissed off at everything.

10. Apparently they have to be told to work hard and be happy.
For liberals it just comes naturally.

2. I've see one that says," Why work? Vote Democratic."
Guess that person forgot about the 3.9% unemployment level when Bill Clinton was president and the 23 million new jobs created.

18. I like this one!
What is it with Republicans and deviant sex, anyway? Is there some kind of gene that, when expressed, makes someone both evil *and* crazy?

17. Make a Republican happy, work hard, be poor, support their lifestyle.

Sadly far too many republicans seem to be of the opinion of the haves and have nots, that somehow class determines a person's worth and ability to earn a living wage. That people don't deserve a comfortable lifestyle of the security that they might be able to handle an emergency financially or take a vacation without having to do something like skip paying the gas and electrical bill for a month and spend three months paying it back.

No person should have the ability to live their dream at the expense of another person's liberty and security. We are being turned into slaves without a living wage being offered for an honest day's work. WE have become tissue paper to be used and discarded at convenience.

At my job working an 8 hour day you get 2 five minute bathroom breaks and a half hour lunch for 10 dollars an hour. In the average hour at least 150 dollars passes through my terminal. The owners of the company were busted for the same money scheme as Rush Limbaugh where they were making multiple $9,999 deposits into different banks each day to avoid paperwork and some taxes. They treat the employees with little rights, they closely watch the time and how long we spend talking with each customer. In the average month 5 people cycle in and out of the company. Health insurance is charged to the employee at 65 dollars every two weeks.

One need not wonder why I keep working on my glass blowing skills to be able to support myself with my art. I'm barely tolerated at having my summer schedule for having to take some weekends off because at this moment I earn about the same amount of money an hour working my art as I do working at that place. Yet, if I have a bad order of supply or have a bad run because of some other reason I can't afford to not have that backup job at this moment. Still, I have the ability to draw myself up because of an uncommon skill that some people are interested in.

Yet not everyone in there is given the same opportunity. I have a college degree, many of my coworkers share those as well, some even carry multiple degrees, others have no college education at all or are working their way through college admirably. In my opinion this should not be the case where people who have earned these college degrees are in such position that they cannot even work themselves out of jobs that require them to work multiple jobs so that they can make ends meet. Our society is heading for a disaster should this course not be changed desperately.

16. This reminds me
Prior to the 2004 (s)election, I was involved in an e-mail group -- mostly people in my town who knew each other and exchanged pertinent news and such related to Bush & Co., Kerry/Edwards and the election issues. There were a few I didn't know, as more people were added as time went on. There was one guy who was totally down on Kerry/Edwards. I had several e-mail exchanges directly with him, many of which I went to great lengths to provide information and facts to prove my point. He was usually defeated and would, as many freepers do when caught in a no win situation, resort to some stupid ad hominem attack against Kerry or liberals (he didn't know me personally, so I was usually spared any personal attacks.) Anyway, at one point, I just asked, why do you do this? His wife was for Kerry, the reasoned arguments were against Bush & Co., etc. He said, "I am a middle aged guy from a ranching/mining community. I don't know where anyone got the impression I would consider voting for a liberal Dem. I enjoy goading them..."

For some of these folks who are down on "librals," it's like a bad habit, or something they're conditioned to do, and they're in it for sport to poke fun, etc. It's really quite sad, like they think it's a football game, and it's about sticking with your team, despite the odds or facts, in this case.

Anyway, your bumper sticker reminded me of this guy, who for some reason we may never fully understand, could never bring himself to vote for a liberal. I'll have to e-mail him now, and ask how he likes Bush & Co., since I haven't conversed with him since shortly after the (s)election of 2004. I should really pound him hard, the asshat!

Vote Republican--They Do the Work, We Get the Profits
Vote Republican--I'm Not a Welfare Queen; I Live Off My Stocks
Vote Republican--Where We Codified Your Greed and Made It Our Platform

Vote Democratic--Let Workers Earn the Money, Not Stockholders and Consultants
Vote Democratic--There Would Be No Corporate Profits If Not For You
Vote Democratic--Where Your Bank Account Earns Interest, Not Just Their Capital Investments
Vote Democratic--Before They Destroy It All
